Dr. Grant Hill will host an information session on same-sex marriage.
There has been debate in Canada concerning possible change of the traditional definition of the family as that of being between a man and a woman. To further educate the student population about the issue, Dr. Hill, a former Member of Parliament and practicing MD, will look at the medical and scientific aspects of same-sex marriage.
Dr. Hill graduated from medical school at the University of Alberta in 1968 and later was elected as an MP for the riding of Macleod, Alberta in 1993. He served as Opposition Health Critic for five years and Deputy Leader for two years. The information session will be held in Science Theatres 141 at 3:30 p.m. on Tue., Apr. 12.
