Women hockeysaurs bring the pain

By Russ Dyck

It’s down to the last regular season game for the Dino women’s hockey team. They fought long and hard for a chance to play in the playoffs and they better not screw it up against the winless SAIT Trojan Thu., Feb. 12. It shouldn’t be difficult to beat the Trojans, but there’s always room for an upset to send everyone in attendance home crying.

If they do lose to the Trojans, and the NAIT Ooks win against the Mount Royal College Cougars, the Ooks will go to the playoffs and the hockeysaurs will be done for another year. There will be no mercy if they lose to the Trojans, since the Trojans are so bad they should go down a level–to novice.

Snowboarding
To all those people who’ve never made the trip to Golden for some boarding, you really don’t know what you’re missing. Kicking Horse mountain resort is a great place. Fewer people, longer runs and a chair lift named after the greatest song in the world–Stairway to Heaven. This hill will be the next Fernie, not only because of the amount of development, but also the great conditions.
