KNES expansion delayed

The Kinesiology expansion will be delayed until mid-October.

Construction was slated to begin in August, however Kinesiology has not found a construction manager, and the project is behind schedule.

"A lot of the delay was ensuring all of the funding and proper procedure was in place," said Kinesiology Director of Operations John Paulsen. "The university is being careful because of past experience."

Paulsen was hoping an early construction start would take advantage of the good weather. The expansion will add one floor to the Sports Medicine Centre and two floors to the Human Performance Lab.
