Boring, dull and whiny are only three words that describe Lifehouse’s sophomore effort. The music lacks energy and has no diversity in its sound. The lyrics are filled with rock cliches like “I have eyes but tell me do I see?” And these cliches are followed with lots of rock-star whining.
The band does not live up to any of the promise found on No Name Face. The first single “Spin” is already getting too much airplay and it’s not a great song. However, it is the only stand-out track the album. There is no substance on Stanley Climbfall, only the drivel of a rock star dealing with the fame that comes from having one of the most overplayed songs in the history of radio.
