Campus Security has issued an alert about a report of an assault on a female student last week.

Both of the assailants are described by the alert as dark-skinned males; one was described as being approximately six feet tall, 160 pounds with dark curly hair and dark clothes.

“A student reported being physically confronted by males in the Residence Courtyard [on Tue., Oct. 15] at around 8:00 p.m.,” said Campus Security Manager Lanny Fritz. “We reported the incident to Calgary Police who continue to investigate.”

The alert described the alleged assault between Rundle Hall and Kananaskis Hall.

“Two males approached a female victim from behind, pushed her to the ground, held a knife to her throat and threatened her. The female was able to escape without harm.”

Campus Security requests that anyone with information about the incident contact them at 220-5333 or Calgary Police at 266-1234.

The SafeWalk program is available to walk anyone between locations on campus. They can also be reached at 220-5333.
