I have to admit I had low expectations going into this, due in large part to the B-Movie bondage girl all over the booklet and the lyrics which looked like a compilation of teenage internet handles. However, upon pressing play I was shocked to hear a track that sounded half-decent. It lasted three minutes. Then Danzig started. Exactly what I expected: a cd filled with variations of the same song, which wasn’t exactly inspired to begin with. How could the composers of such a decent first track fail to employ the same skill throughout their album? Upon going back to that promising first track, I quickly discovered that it was simply a medium for Danzig to pretend to be more evil and try his hand at subliminal messages. If you like Danzig, I’m sure you’ll like this album, but if you don’t, I do not recommend it.
