The women’s national basketball rankings now make about as much sense as the U.S. football polls.
It seems the Dinos moved up from ninth to sixth in Canada following last weekend’s split with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns. The Dinos won 59-44 Fri., Jan. 4 at the Jack, but followed up with 70-61 loss the next night. With the Dinos loss the women fall to 4-6 in conference play. What’s interesting is both Lethbridge and the University of Alberta have better records than Calgary but the ‘Horns aren’t ranked nationally and Alberta sits at eighth.
The ladies travel to Manitoba to take on the Bison in a weekend series. Hopefully they lose both games–they could be ranked number one by Monday.
