Editors, the Gauntlet
Re: Something
I am a supporter of Alberta’s New Democrats. One of my favourite teams is the Dinos football team. Win or lose, the players are always role models. I understand they first crack the books; then they wear the Dinos jersey with pride. To honour the French fact in Canada I have written the following:
Charte canadienne des droits et libertés, section 9-Chacun à droit a la protection contre la détention ou l’emprisonnement arbitraires.
As a supporter of Alberta’s New Democrats I thank the reader for her or his patience.
Enthusiastically yours,
Shawn M. Blitz
Editors, the Gauntlet,
Recently, I read a good book. It was written by O.J. Simpson. The title of the book is I Want to Tell You. The most sublime page in I Want to Tell You is page 148. On that page, O.J. Simpson is shown with a few friends. To honour the francophone, I write, "Copain, crayon, stylo…"
Respectfully,
Shawn M. Blitz
Editors, the Gauntlet,
Students at the University of Calgary should keep the books they are assigned by their professors.
Obviously, everyone wants a 3.80 GPA. Unfortunately, a 2.70 GPA is the more realistic objective. However, the true value of a university degree can be assessed only decades after graduating. Therefore, students should keep the books after finishing the course.
To honour the French-fact-in-Canada, I have written the titles of two documents:
1. Declaration universelle des droits de l’homme (NY, 1948)
2. Charte canadienne des droits et libertes (Ottawa, 1982)
Sincerely,
Shawn M. Blitz
